Rahul Gandhi Points to Naravane’s 2023 ‘Available Now’ Post to Counter Publisher’s Claim
Congress MP questions publisher’s clarification, cites former Army chief’s social media post as proof of release.
New Delhi, Feb 10 : Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday referred to a December 2023 social media post by former Army Chief General MM Naravane to challenge publisher Penguin Random House India’s assertion that the general’s memoir has not yet been released.
Addressing reporters within the Parliament complex, Gandhi said he was inclined to trust Naravane’s statement over the publisher’s clarification. He read aloud the former Army Chief’s post on X, which stated, “Hello friends. My book is available now. Just follow the link. Happy reading. Jai Hind.”
The Congress leader used the post to counter claims surrounding the memoir’s publication status, adding a fresh dimension to the ongoing political exchange over references to the book.
