Rahul Gandhi Says He Would Have Pursued Aerospace Entrepreneurship If Not in Politics
Congress leader envisions a career in aerospace, highlighting curiosity and open-mindedness as keys to innovation
Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 7: Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Saturday shared that if he had not pursued a career in politics, he would likely have explored entrepreneurship in the aerospace sector.
Speaking during a dialogue with the Information Technology (IT) community at Technopark here, Rahul emphasized that labels like politician, technocrat, techie, or engineer are “constricting definitions” and do not fully capture a person’s range of interests.
“I have been defined as a politician by many, but I actually engage in a variety of other pursuits. If I were not working for a political organization, I would probably be doing some entrepreneurship, probably in the aerospace world. I am a pilot, and so were my father and uncle, so we have that little strain,” he said.
Rahul Gandhi also underscored the importance of curiosity and an open mind, stating that exploring diverse interests allows one to “connect the dots” in innovative ways. He is currently on a two-day visit to Kerala.
