Rahul Gandhi to Boost NC-Congress Campaign with High-Profile Rallies in Dooru and Sangaldan

ANANTNAG, Aug 31: Senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, is set to address two significant election rallies in Jammu and Kashmir on September 4. These rallies are part of the campaign efforts for the candidates of the National Conference-Congress (NC-Congress) alliance in the region. The announcement was made by All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary, Ghulam Ahmad Mir, who emphasized that both the candidates of the alliance and the people of Jammu and Kashmir had strongly expressed their desire for Gandhi to campaign in the Union Territory.

Ghulam Ahmad Mir, who is also a candidate in the assembly elections, contesting from Dooru in South Kashmir, revealed that one of Gandhi’s rallies would be held at the Dooru stadium. This rally is expected to draw a significant crowd as it will be a key event for the NC-Congress alliance in the region.

In addition to the rally in Kashmir, Gandhi will also address another election rally in the Sangaldan area of Jammu. This visit underscores the strategic importance of both regions in the upcoming elections. Mir expressed his satisfaction and gratitude that Gandhi accepted their invitation to campaign in Jammu and Kashmir. He mentioned that this visit is part of the first phase of the election campaign, hinting at the possibility of Gandhi returning to the Union Territory for subsequent phases of the elections.

Moreover, the Congress party has organized a strong lineup of over 40 star campaigners to support their efforts in Jammu and Kashmir. This list includes prominent leaders such as the party’s president, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, highlighting the party’s commitment to a robust campaign in the region.

These rallies by Rahul Gandhi are expected to boost the morale of the alliance candidates and further strengthen the campaign as the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir approach.
