SRINAGAR: In the UAPA case against Nayeem Khan, the Delhi Court has mandated the attachment of the Hurriyat’s Rajbagh Office in Srinagar.
On the basis of the NIA’s request to attach the office under section 33(1) of the UAPA, Additional Sessions Judge Shailender Malik of the Patiala House Courts issued the ruling.
The building office of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, which was formerly an APHC office, is located in Raj Bagh, Srinagar, and is ordered to be attached due to the aforementioned grounds. In this context, necessary legal procedures must be followed, the court said. The property is partially owned by Khan and his friends, the NIA said the court.
The office situated at Rajbagh was used to strategize different protests, funding activities of stone pelting on security forces, recruiting of unemployed youths to carry out “unlawful activities as well as terrorist activities” to create unrest in Jammu and Kashmir to wage war against the government of India, according to NIA.
