Metrology chief Rajinder Singh Tara calls on ICC, stresses passing GST cuts to consumers for fair trade
Rajinder Singh Tara, Controller, Metrology Department , Govt of J&K , along with Manoj Prabhakar, Joint Controller, visited the office of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Jammu and met Rahul Sahai, Chairman ICC Jammu.
Jammu, 27-09-2025: During the interaction, they sensitised the Chamber’s executive members about the recent reduction in GST rates announced by the Union Government. They emphasized the importance of ensuring that the GST benefit is passed on to consumers and not absorbed by trade and industry, thereby maintaining transparency and consumer trust.
Sh. Tara requested the Chairman to spread this message widely among the trade and industry community. On the occasion, Sh. Rahul Sahai presented ICC’s souvenir to Sh. Rajinder Singh Tara.
ICC Executive Members Sh. Ashwani Pandoh, Sh. Harpinder Anand, and Sh. Davinder Kakkar were also present during the meeting.
