Rajnath Singh, Anti-Terror Operations Continue Uninterrupted, No External Intervention

Rajnath Singh refutes claims of external mediation, stresses Operation Sindoor continues independently of third-party influence.

Hyderabad, Sep 17: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday firmly dismissed claims by US President Donald Trump of intervening to halt the Indo-Pak conflict following Operation Sindoor, asserting that India’s counter-terror operations continued without suspension due to any third-party mediation.

Speaking at the ‘Hyderabad Liberation Day’ celebrations organized by the Union Government, Singh clarified that Operation Sindoor would resume if terrorists carried out future attacks.

“There are some who ask whether the ceasefire between India and Pakistan happened because of external intervention. Let me make it clear: the operation against terrorists was not suspended because of anyone’s involvement,” he stated.

He added that Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar also acknowledged that India rejected any third-party role in the conflict. Singh emphasized that Prime Minister Modi has reiterated the issue remains bilateral, with no scope for external interference.
