Rajnath Singh Praises Armed Forces for Exceptional Coordination

NEW DELHI, May 7: Rajnath Singh on Thursday described Operation Sindoor as a defining example of modern military strategy as the country observed the first anniversary of the high-impact operation carried out against terror infrastructure across the border.
Paying tribute to the armed forces, Singh said the mission demonstrated remarkable operational accuracy, coordinated planning and strong integration among the Army, Navy and Air Force. He noted that the operation reflected India’s preparedness to tackle security threats with speed and determination.
The Defence Minister said the bravery and dedication displayed by the armed forces during the operation continue to inspire the nation. According to him, the successful execution of the mission highlighted India’s growing military capability and strategic strength.
India had launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 last year following the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam. The operation targeted nine terror camps located in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir and Pakistan through coordinated airstrikes. More than 100 terrorists were reportedly eliminated during the action.
Singh stated that the operation became a strong symbol of India’s national resolve and showcased the country’s readiness to take decisive action whenever national security is threatened. He added that the mission also reflected India’s continuous progress towards defence self-reliance under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
The Defence Minister is also scheduled to chair a high-level joint commanders’ conference in Jaipur later in the day. The meeting will focus on assessing current national security concerns and evaluating the combat preparedness of the armed forces.
According to the Defence Ministry, the conference will examine emerging threats in areas such as cyber warfare, space security and cognitive warfare. Senior military officials are expected to discuss future capability development and strategies aimed at building a technologically advanced and combat-ready force for evolving security challenges.
