Raman Bhalla Files Nomination for Jammu Lok Sabha Seat Amidst Massive Congress Support
Jammu, 02-04-2024: Raman Bhalla, accompanied by thousands of Congress supporters, officially entered the electoral fray for the Jammu Lok Sabha seat by filing his nomination papers. The event was marked by a significant presence of political luminaries, including Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Bharat Sinh Solanki, Vikar Rasool Wani, and Manoj Yadav, along with various leaders from the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), former ministers, legislators, and grassroots workers.
The nomination filing ceremony commenced with a spirited procession from Maharaja Hari Singh Park, with enthusiastic party supporters waving flags as they made their way towards the DC office via Shaheedi Chowk. The procession, spanning from one end near the park to the DC office, reflected the fervor and solidarity of the Congress supporters.
Accompanied by senior AICC leaders and prominent figures like former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, Mula Ram, Ravinder Sharma, and Yogesh Sawhney, Raman Bhalla rode in an open vehicle to the DC office, where Dr. Farooq Abdullah and other National Conference leaders joined them to submit the nomination papers to the Returning Officer.
Addressing a sizable gathering at Shaheedi Chowk, Bharat Sinh Solanki rallied the people to vote for change and reject the dictatorial regime of the BJP. He emphasized the significance of the public’s participation as a testament to their desire for transformation, expressing confidence in the Congress’s ability to secure both Lok Sabha seats in Jammu and Udhampur.
Vikar Rasool Wani underscored the exposure of BJP’s divisive policies in the eyes of the people, highlighting Congress’s commitment to challenging the ruling party’s authoritarian tactics. He condemned the targeting of the opposition by the Modi government and assured that the electorate would deliver a resounding message through the ballot.
Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support demonstrated during the rally, Raman Bhalla urged the electorate to oust the arrogant BJP regime in favor of a government that prioritizes the welfare of the underprivileged. He reiterated Congress’s pledge to address the economic hardships faced by the common man and pledged to work towards their upliftment.
