Rattan Lal Gupta condemns Security Rollback of NC party  headquarter, Legislatures and termed it as “Targeted Vindictive”

Calls move “reckless” and politically motivated

Jammu, April 1: Ratan Lal Gupta, Provincial President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) in Jammu, launched a scathing attack on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s administration over the withdrawal of security cover of NC legislators and the party headquarter, Nawa-e-Subha Srinagar where party chief Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah Hon’ble Chief Minister, Cabinet Ministers and other Senior party functionaries used to sit and hold party meetings.

Gupta termed the move “selective, vindictive, and dangerously irresponsible,” move which puts the lives of several leaders at serious risk. He said the administration’s action exposes a clear bias, alleging that security has been withdrawn only from Kashmir-based leaders while those aligned with the BJP remain untouched.

“This is not just negligence,it is targeted harassment,” Gupta said. “If those who hold the Tricolour are not safe, how can the flag itself be safe in Kashmir?”

He reminded the administration of the recent security lapse in the firing incident Dr  Farooq Abdullah, calling it alarming that instead of strengthening protection after such an incident, the LG administration chose to scale it down.

He asked Manoj Sinha’s administration to come clean: “Either declare Jammu and Kashmir completely safe for all political actors, or stop playing politics with security. You cannot selectively expose NC and allies leaders to danger while shielding BJP’s.

Calling the move reckless and politically motivated, Gupta said the people of Jammu and Kashmir are watching closely and will not tolerate governance driven by bias and insecurity.
