Reasi Tragedy: Two Youths Killed After Vehicle Plunges Into Gorge in J&K
Early morning accident in Dharangli Tote area claims two lives police launch probe
Reasi, Feb 3: Two young men lost their lives after the vehicle they were travelling in veered off a mountainous road and plunged into a deep gorge in the Dharangli Tote area of Reasi district early Tuesday, officials said.
The victims have been identified as Mannu, son of Rattan Singh, and Jagdev Singh, son of Balwan Singh, both residents of Shoral village. According to officials, the mishap occurred during the early hours when the driver lost control of the vehicle on a narrow hilly stretch.
Soon after the incident, rescue teams rushed to the spot and retrieved the bodies from the gorge after a challenging operation. Both youths were declared dead on the spot.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and registered a case to ascertain the exact cause of the accident. Further investigation is underway.
