Rhea Chakraborty Announces Comeback in Netflix Drama ‘Family Business’

Actor set for on screen comeback alongside Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma after years away from films

Mumbai, Feb 04 : Rhea Chakraborty is set to make her acting comeback with Netflix’s upcoming series Family Business, marking her return to scripted entertainment after a prolonged hiatus. The announcement was made during the streaming platform’s ‘Next On Netflix’ event in Mumbai, where the show was introduced as part of its forthcoming lineup.

Rhea hinted at the milestone by sharing a teaser on Instagram with the caption, “7 years later…,” signalling a fresh chapter in her career.

The drama features Anil Kapoor as the head of a powerful multi-billion-dollar corporation, while Vijay Varma plays a dedicated employee whose sudden dismissal sets off a chain reaction within the organisation. The storyline is expected to revolve around corporate rivalries, shifting loyalties, and family conflicts, blending business intrigue with emotional stakes. Although the release window is anticipated later this year, an official premiere date has not yet been announced.

Rhea’s return follows a turbulent period that began after actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death in 2020, when she faced intense media attention and legal proceedings. Arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau that September in connection with alleged drug-related chats, she was later granted bail. In the years since, she maintained a low public profile while exploring alternative projects, including launching a podcast and appearing on television reality show MTV Roadies.
