RK Chaudhary Likely to Be Next Chairperson of JERC J&K
Retired NHPC CMD Raj Kumar Chaudhary poised to head Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for J&K and Ladakh.
Jammu, Sep 18: Raj Kumar Chaudhary, retired Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of NHPC Limited, is likely to be appointed as the next Chairperson of the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) for the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, sources told Cross Town News.
Chaudhary, who retired earlier this year from his role as NHPC Chairman, brings extensive experience in the power sector, making him a strong contender for the regulatory position.
The appointment, once formalized, will see him take charge of JERC, the body responsible for overseeing electricity regulation and tariff management in both Union Territories, ensuring smooth operations and effective policy implementation.
