Road Safety Campaign’s End Signals New Beginnings I Jammu I Bold News I MVD & Transporters

In collaboration with the All J&K Transporters Welfare Association, Jammu, the Motor Vehicles Department organized a valedictory function to mark the conclusion of National Road Safety Month-2024. The event saw the esteemed presence of Transport Commissioner Rajinder Singh Tara, Paramveer Singh, Additional Secretary of the Road Safety Council, J&K, Pankaj Bhagotra, RTO Jammu, and S. Ajit Singh, Chairman of the All J&K Transport Welfare Association, among others. Additionally, notable figures such as Rehana Tabassum from ARTO (Headquarters), Esha Chib from the ARTO Board of Inspection (Goods), Kuldeep Singh from the ARTO Board of Inspection (Passengers), and Neeraj Sharma from the ARTO Flying Squad were in attendance, alongside representatives from the Red Cross, Health Department, Jammu, and heads of various Transport Associations. Addressing the gathering, Transport Commissioner Tara emphasized the paramount importance of adhering to road safety rules and highlighted the overarching objective of National Road Safety Month: to raise mass awareness about the safety and security of road users, ultimately striving to reduce the alarming rates of death and injuries resulting from road accidents in Jammu and Kashmir and across the country. He also extended heartfelt congratulations to the entire team of the Motor Vehicles Department and Transport Associations for their unwavering efforts in organizing numerous awareness events not only during the Road Safety Month but throughout the year.
