Sanjay Dutt Opens Up About Favourite Foods and Unexpected Dish He Always Receives
From disciplined meals to comfort food, Sanjay Dutt shares his simple yet surprising relationship with food.
Mumbai, Dec 31 : Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt recently opened up about his eating habits, favourite dishes, and an amusing culinary quirk during a candid chat on Sunday Brunch with Curly Tales. Set against a lavish brunch spread, the conversation was personal, grounded, and refreshingly unfiltered.
Despite splitting his time between Mumbai and Dubai due to his children’s schooling, Dutt revealed that his heart and palate remain deeply tied to Mumbai. “Mumbai food is not just about taste; it’s about memory, comfort, and familiarity,” he said, describing the city’s flavours as synonymous with home.
While his presence at the table seemed relaxed, Dutt follows a disciplined eating routine, shaped by years in an industry where fitness is non-negotiable. He consumes six small meals a day, typically including muesli, egg whites, avocado, salads, fruits, and boiled chicken. “Staying fit and consistent in the gym is essential for actors, and food plays a central role in maintaining that balance,” he explained.
When asked about his go to restaurant orders, Dutt immediately named chicken tikka as his favourite, along with fish tikka a combination of flavour and restraint that has stayed with him over the years.
The most entertaining revelation came when Dutt shared the dish he never orders but always finds on his table: baingan (brinjal). No matter where he dines, chefs seem convinced that brinjal is his preferred choice. Whether he has grown to like it or simply accepts the surprise with good humour, the anecdote left fans smiling.
Through the episode, Dutt’s relationship with food stood out for its simplicity. There were no extremes, no trends, no performative indulgence just balance, routine, and a touch of humour, making his approach to eating genuinely relatable.
