19-08-2023 : The Jammu and Kashmir Bank has announced the termination of the services of a senior officer, citing reasons related to the “security of the state.” The decision, which was conveyed through an order issued by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the bank, involves the dismissal of Chief Manager Sajad Bazaz. This termination has been carried out under the framework of Rule/Provision 12.29 outlined in the Officers Service Manual (OSM), highlighting the gravity of the circumstances that prompted this action.

The order explicates that the course of action was determined subsequent to the receipt of a report from credible agencies. The contents of this report were deemed substantial enough to justify the termination of Mr. Sajad Ahmad Bazaz’s employment with the bank. The decision aligns with the tenets of Rule/Provision 12.29 in OSM, a provision specifically designed to address instances where an employee’s actions warrant immediate dismissal from service.
