Set example in public service, remain available 24X7: Kavinder
Pays obeisance at Baba Ambo ji Temple on Makar Sankranti
JAMMU: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta today asserted that the need of time is to set an example in public service by always remaining at the disposal of people to address their concern unabatedly.
He was speaking at the programme after which three BJP Corporators namely Gopal Mahajan, Arun Khanna and Subhash Sharma who were declared elected unopposed as chairpersons of Swacch Bharat Committee, Health and Sanitation Committee and Social Justice Committee of the Jammu Municipal Corporation respectively at Town Hall Jammu.
Kavinder, while congratulating the newly elected chairpersons, said that it is the right time to prove that there is no match to BJP by serving the people in a way that all their civic issues could be addressed on priority. He said that for every Corporator of the party, this is ‘now or never’ situation therefore all the resources should be mobilized to set an example in public service. He said that while in field, the Corporators also have a big responsibility to dispense information about the achievements of the BJP government with regard to J&K as there are many entities which consistently spread canards against the party to malign its image.
The senior BJP leader said that there is no need to criticize anybody but telling the people about the feats of the party especially in J&K is a prime duty of every single member of the party so that people do not get confused by the propaganda of opposition parties. He said that the responsibility of carrying out unmatched development in the Union Territories lies on Corporators and they should move in that direction so that people get a sigh of relief since they are adjusting for the last over 70 years and reeling under the dearth of facilities due to indifferent dispensations ruling the erstwhile State of J&K.
Meanwhile, Kavinder Gupta today paid obeisance at the Baba Ambo ji Temple, Bahu Fort area on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. He extended warm greetings to the people and wished them every happiness and prosperity. He said festivals are a symbol of our shared ethos, culture and mark the beginning of an auspicious period of the year.
