Severe Cold Wave Hits Parts of Telangana: Meteorological Department

Adilabad records lowest temperature as cold wave continues in several districts; light rains expected in coming days

Hyderabad, Nov 19: Severe cold wave conditions persisted in isolated pockets of Adilabad district, while parts of Medak experienced cold wave conditions in the past 24 hours, the Meteorological Centre said on Tuesday.

According to the daily weather report, cold wave conditions are likely to continue over isolated pockets of Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy districts during the next 24 hours.

The Met Office also predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers at isolated places across Telangana on November 22, 23, and 24. Minimum temperatures are expected to remain 3 to 4 degrees Celsius below normal at isolated locations across the state over the next two days, while dry weather is likely for the following four days.

Adilabad recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 9.2 degrees Celsius on the night between Monday and Tuesday, the report added.
