Shah Faesal Among 10 IAS Officers Posted to Aspirational Blocks in J&K, Ladakh

Centre assigns senior IAS and allied service officers to boost development in under-served regions of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh.

Jammu, Oct 3: The Centre has appointed 10 senior officers, including IAS officer Shah Faesal, as Central Prabhari Officers for Aspirational Blocks in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, in a move aimed at accelerating development in remote and under-served regions.

According to the official order, Shah Faesal (IAS), Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Culture, has been assigned charge of Bandipora’s Tulail block in J&K.

Other appointments in Jammu and Kashmir include:

Ankita Anand (IAS), Deputy Secretary, Jal Shakti (Drinking Water & Sanitation) – Kishtwar (Marwah)

Mujtaba Ahmad (IDAS), Director, Mines – Kulgam (Manzgam)

Vivek Gupta (IRS-C&IT), Director, Finance (Financial Services) – Poonch (Mankote)

Sushant Sudan (IES), Deputy Secretary, Commerce & Industry – Ganderbal (Wakoora)

Harleen Kaur (IAS), Deputy Secretary, Road Transport & Highways – Rajouri (Khwas)

Gurmeet Singh (IRTS), Director, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions – Ramban (Khari)

Nitish Suri (ITradeS), Director, Higher Education – Reasi (Thakrakote)

For Ladakh, two officers have been designated:

Ravi Dhawan (IAS), Director, Power – Kargil (Karsha)

Himanshu Gupta (IAS), Secretary, School Education & Literacy – Leh (Rupsho)

The Aspirational Blocks Programme is a part of the Centre’s larger initiative to improve governance, infrastructure, and human development indicators in some of the most challenging regions of India.
