Shiv Sena warns Tata motors,  demands for local level appointments in e-buses

Jammu,03-11-2023 :  Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit has raised the demand for appointment of drivers and co-drivers at the local level in the electric buses operated by Tata Motors in Jammu and Srinagar under the Smart City in Jammu and Kashmir, which is struggling with unemployment.
In a press conference organized at the party state office Jammu  today, state chief Manish Sahni said that under the Smart City Project, Tata Motors has been entrusted with the responsibility of supplying and operating 100-100 electric buses for 12 years in Jammu and Srinagar.
It is a welcome step to prevent the increasing deadly pollution in Jammu and Kashmir, but the operation of these buses is causing financial loss to the owners of mini buses running on the roads of Jammu for decades and clouds of unemployment are looming over the drivers and co-drivers.
Sahni said that we are  not against development and technology but does not accept sacrificing the interests and rights of the local people for this.
Sahni has demanded from the Jammu and Kashmir administration to impose a condition on Tata Motors to appoint local people in these buses. Along with this, he has also appealed to Tata Motors for the same.
Sahni said that if this does not happen, they will be forced to come to the streets to protest against these buses. On this occasion president Mehila wing Meenakshi Chibber, Gen Secretary Vikas Bakshi were present.
