Jammu, 28-07-2023 : In a heartwarming display of camaraderie and support, Sh. Mohan Lal Kaith, SSP Railways, Jammu, Albeena Malik, DySP Railways, and Sh. Ved Raj Sharma, President of Brahmin Sabha, accompanied by his wife, paid a visit to the langar set up by the Shri Amarnathji Yatra Welfare Society (SAYWS). The langar, previously situated at Saraswati Dham, has been relocated to the TRC counter at the Railway Station.

During their visit, these esteemed dignitaries engaged with the pilgrims and attentively assessed the facilities provided by SAYWS. In a true spirit of service, they personally served the pilgrims at the langar and praised the commendable efforts of SAYWS in catering to the needs of the Yatris.

As a token of appreciation, the office bearers of SAYWS honored all the visiting dignitaries, who, in turn, lauded the langar committee for its relentless dedication. Sh. Kiran Wattal, President of SAYWS, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the guests for gracing the occasion and providing them with an overview of the society’s activities.

Sh. Anil Gupta, Senior Vice President of SAYWS, highlighted the utmost importance given to maintaining cleanliness at the langar and the provision of packaged drinking water bottles for the pilgrims. He emphasized that the langar has been running continuously for 30 days, successfully serving approximately 3,000 to 4,000 pilgrims daily. Sh. Gupta also extended his appreciation to the administration and police personnel for their round-the-clock services to the pilgrims and expressed thanks to the media for timely information dissemination.

It was worth noting that SAYWS runs the langar solely with the support of its dedicated office bearers, without relying on any external contributions. Sh. Gupta urged the pilgrims to follow the guidelines issued by the administration and carry the message of peace and hospitality of Jammu people with them as they conclude their Yatra.

Prominent attendees at the event included SAYWS Senior Vice-President Anil Gupta, Sh. Ashok Khajuria, ex-MLA, and General Secretary of SAYWS, Prem Ji, Kamal Ganjoo, Ashok Sharma Ji, among others.

The collective efforts of SAYWS and the gracious presence of these dignitaries have further strengthened the spirit of community service and selflessness, exemplifying the true essence of the Amarnathji Yatra.
