Jammu, 16-02-2024 : The Shri Guru Ravi Dass S S Trust/Society Jammu & Kashmir, under the esteemed guidance of Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj, is set to host a majestic ‘Shobha Yatra’ on February 18th (Sunday). Commencing from Bari Brahmana at 11:00 am, the procession will traverse through Bishnah before culminating at Sukhsagar Bhawan, Sikanderpur Kothey in Jammu.
Speaking to the press, CL Banal (Retd IGP), Chairman of Shri Guru Ravi Dass S S Trust, extended a heartfelt appeal to the Sangat (congregation) to actively partake in the ‘Shobha Yatra’, adorned with vibrant Jhankies (floats), while urging Sewadars (volunteers) to uphold discipline throughout the procession.
Banal revealed that various Sabhas/Sangats along the route will set up stalls offering refreshments and water for the participants. Additionally, welcome gates will be erected by different Sabhas to enhance the grandeur of the yatra. School students are also enthusiastically joining the procession, with arrangements made for their refreshment along the way.
Noteworthy is the participation of renowned singer Priya Banga, who will regale the audience with devotional Bhajans echoing the spiritual teachings of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj. Guru ka Langer (community kitchen) will be served to the Sangat, accompanied by enlightening spiritual discourses by Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj.
Furthermore, Ramesh Bhasin, Chairman of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Bishnah, Sham Lal Kundal, President of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha R S Pura, Dr. Devi Dass, General Secretary of Shri Guru Ravi Dass S. S Trust Sikanderpur, M L Banalia, General Secretary of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Satsang Society (J&K), and Natha Ram, Vice Chairman of Shri Guru Ravi Dass S S Trust Sikanderpur, extended invitations to the Sangat for the upcoming Sant Sammelan scheduled for March 10th, 2024, at Sukhsagar Bhawan, Sikanderpur Kothey, Jammu.
