NEW DELHI, Jan 6: Congress leader Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi, sources confirmed on Tuesday. The 79 year old former UPA Chairperson is doing well and is under the observation of a chest specialist.
Hospital sources said it is a routine admission, primarily due to Gandhi’s ongoing issue with chronic cough, which has been aggravated by the city’s pollution. She was admitted on Monday evening for monitoring and check ups.
Sonia Gandhi, who celebrated her 79th birthday in December 2025, frequently visits the hospital for regular health assessments.
