St. Mary’s Infant Convent School Celebrates Christmas with Festive Splendor and Joy

MICS Primary Wing Brings Christmas Spirit Alive with Dazzling Performances

JAMMU, Dec 21: St. Mary’s Infant Convent School (SMICS) radiated with festive joy as the primary wing hosted a vibrant Christmas celebration, marking the second day of their grand festivities. The event was a kaleidoscope of colors, music, and cheer, capturing the true essence of the holiday season.

Distinguished guests graced the occasion, including Fr. Santosh Athickal, Financial Administrator of the Diocese of Jammu-Srinagar, Mr. Parvez Samuel Kaul, former Principal and Director of Tyndale Biscoe School, Srinagar, and Mrs. Joyce Kaul, former Headmistress of Mallinson Girls’ School and Kashmir Valley School. The school’s Chairperson, Mrs. Anna Mary, and Director, Mr. Anthony Ignatius, extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries, presenting them with potted plants as tokens of gratitude.

The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the esteemed guests, a ritual symbolizing divine blessings. Principal Mrs. Sheetal Anthony introduced the program, setting the stage for the young performers who dazzled the audience with a medley of performances.

From elegant dance routines to melodious carols, the students displayed exceptional talent and creativity. Each performance resonated with the spirit of Christmas, leaving the audience enthralled. The highlight was the grand finale featuring a beautifully adorned crib, symbolizing the birth of Jesus Christ, which served as a poignant reminder of the true meaning of Christmas.

Santa Claus made a delightful appearance, spreading cheer as he distributed gifts and took pictures with the excited children. The joyous atmosphere reached its peak as the young students celebrated the festive spirit with unbridled enthusiasm.

In their inspiring addresses, the special guests lauded the school’s commitment to excellence in education and holistic development. They urged students to embody the values of love, compassion, and joy, praising SMICS as a beacon of quality education in Jammu.

Under the patronage of Mrs. Anna Mary and Mr. Anthony Ignatius, the event was meticulously organized, ensuring a memorable experience for all attendees. The celebration concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, marking the end of a joyous two-day festival that left an indelible mark on hearts and minds.
