Tanvir Sadiq raises Badamwari morning walk restrictions issue with CM; Shameema Firdous reviews Urs arrangements at Khanqah-e-Moula
Srinagar, 08 May: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Chief Spokesperson and MLA Zadibal has taken up the issue of restrictions on morning walks at Badamwari with Hon’ble Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Tanvir met the Chief Minister and highlighted the concerns of residents of Shahar-e-Khas Srinagar, particularly those living in the vicinity of Badamwari Park. The meeting was also attended by Commissioner/Secretary Zubair Ahmad and Director Floriculture Mathoora Masoom.
He stressed the need for a balanced solution that ensures continued access for morning walkers, senior citizens, and patients advised by doctors to use the park for daily exercise, while also addressing legitimate safety concerns.
He said Badamwari is not just a park but an emotional space for the people of Srinagar especially elders and morning walkers who depend on it for health and well-being.
Meanwhile, MLA Habba Kadal Shameema Firdous visited Khanqah-e-Moula to take stock of preparations for the upcoming Urs of Hazrat Amir-e-Kabir Mir Syed Ali Hamadani (RA). She urged the Waqf officials and the Khanqah management to work in coordination and urged the district administration to ensure proper arrangements for the smooth conduct of the religious observance and convenience of devotees.
