Tanvir Sadiq Unveils FC1 Jersey for historic Durand Cup Debut; calls it Milestone for J&K Football
Srinagar, 30 Jul: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Chief Spokesperson and MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq Thursday unveiled the official jersey of FC1 for the club’s historic debut in the 135th Durand Cup, alongside the FC1 team and representatives of TCI Max Cements, describing the occasion as a landmark moment for football in Jammu & Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, Sadiq said FC1’s participation in one of Asia’s oldest and most prestigious football tournaments is a matter of immense pride for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh and reflects the growing sporting talent emerging from the region.
“This is more than just a jersey. It carries the dreams, aspirations and determination of countless young footballers from Jammu & Kashmir who aspire to compete on the biggest stage. FC1’s historic debut in the Durand Cup is an inspiration for every youngster who dreams of representing the region with pride and excellence,” he said.
