Taranjit Singh Tony hails pro-poor policies of AAP for Punjab’s election success

Yashpal Kundal assures equitable development if AAP comes to power in J&K

13-05-2023 : Taranjit Singh Tony, Chairman of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Jammu and Kashmir, recently addressed party workers in Narwal Pain, highlighting AAP’s victory in the Jalandhar constituency and its significance for the people of Punjab. He also commented on the recent election results in Karnataka, where the defeat of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was seen as a triumph against communal forces. Senior AAP leader Yashpal Kundal was also present at the event.

AAP’s recent victory in Jalandhar, breaking the Congress’ 24-year grip on the Lok Sabha constituency with a margin of over 58000 votes, has been seen as a testament to the success of the party’s pro-poor policies in Punjab. Tony expressed his gratitude to the people of Punjab for acknowledging the good work of the Bhagwant Mann Government, which has been instrumental in the party’s victory. He stated that the overwhelming support received by AAP is a clear indication that the people of Punjab are more than satisfied with the party’s performance and policies.

Tony also commented on the recent election results in Karnataka, congratulating the people of the state for ensuring the victory of secular forces and the ouster of the BJP. He noted that the outcome of the Karnataka Assembly election is a defeat for communal forces and divisive agendas. Tony expressed hope that the victory of secular forces in Karnataka will inspire people across the country to choose leaders who work towards the betterment of society, without resorting to divisive tactics.

In his address, Yashpal Kundal emphasized the need for a government like AAP in Jammu and Kashmir, which can provide relief to the people and ensure equitable development without discrimination. He urged people to recognize the difference between AAP and other parties that rely solely on communal agendas and creating fissures among society. Kundal assured that if AAP comes to power in J&K, it will work towards the welfare of all sections of society, without any discrimination.

The event was attended by several party leaders, including Amit Kapoor, Partap Jamwal, O P Jamwal, Mandeep Choudhary, O P Khajuria, Nirmal Mana, Appu Singh, D C Raja, and Parvinder Singh. The workers celebrated AAP’s victory by dancing to the beat of the dhol and distributing sweets among the people.
