Tejinder Pal Singh-Aman Emphasizes Role of Youth in Tackling Regional Challenges, Empowerment
Says “youth involvement in Jammu and Kashmir’s political landscape is essential, not optional”
Jammu, 22nd September: Tejinder Pal Singh Aman, Provincial President of Jammu and Kashmir Youth National Conference (YNC), urged the party’s youth wing to extend their solidarity to the people of the Pir Panjal region, who have been severely impacted by recent weather disturbances.
Addressing a gathering at Rajouri Rural Kalakote, Aman emphasized the need for the youth to collaborate closely with the parent body to ensure that the most vulnerable communities receive timely assistance and relief during these difficult times. He also formally handed over the appointment order to the newly nominated YNC District President of Rajouri Rural during the meeting, which was organized by the District President YNC Rajouri Rural Waqar Mir.
Congratulating the new District President, Aman expressed confidence that under his leadership, the YNC will strengthen its presence in the district. He assured full support from the YNC Provincial Committee in Jammu, highlighting the importance of working in tandem with the local parent body to further deepen the party’s roots within the region.
Aman also highlighted the critical need for youth-centric politics in Jammu and Kashmir, reflecting the core values of Sher-e-Kashmir, Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah’s vision of social justice and empowerment for the marginalized. “This is more than just a reshuffle; it signifies the emergence of a new, dynamic leadership committed to public service. The new youth leaders bring a diverse range of expertise, from researchers and legal professionals to engineers and business graduates. This shift represents not just a generational change but also a renewal of our commitment to the principles that have guided us,” said Aman.
Aman acknowledged the socio-economic challenges faced by today’s youth, from escalating unemployment and lack of access to quality education, to their marginalization in policy discussions. He emphasized that youth involvement in Jammu and Kashmir’s political landscape is now essential, not optional. “The challenges facing our youth require innovation, empathy, and inclusive policymaking. We urge the new leaders to engage with youth on the ground, listen to their concerns, and turn those experiences into actionable solutions,” YNC leaders from Kalakote demanded the Sports Stadium in the region. Mr Aman assured the youth leader that the matter has been raised with the concerned sports Minister.
He also stressed that the mandate of the YNC must evolve to ensure meaningful representation, with the new office-bearers playing a pivotal role in amplifying youth voices in the policymaking process. “Youth are the backbone of societal progress. The appointees now carry the responsibility of turning the aspirations of thousands into tangible results. Their energy, intellect, and determination can become a powerful force for positive change,” Aman remarked.
In a passionate plea, Aman called on the local YNC cadre to lead the charge in combating the growing menace of drug abuse and addiction among the youth. He emphasized the importance of shouldering these local issues and raising them at both the government and party levels. “The YNC is not just about politics; it is about nation-building. We must work hand in hand with the parent body to address the challenges exacerbated by weather-related adversities in the region,” Aman concluded.
Addressing the gathering Th. Yashu Vardhan Singh Additional Spokesperson Jammu said that the BJP has once again failed to fulfill its promises to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. “People are now realizing the hollow and misleading policies of the BJP Central Government, which has only paid lip service to the sufferings of the common citizens,” he said.
