Terror Operatives Exploit SIM Cards, Security Forces Conduct Widespread Searches Across Kashmir Valley
“SIM cards seized as investigation into anti-national activities continues in Kulgam, Baramulla, and Shopian”
SRINAGAR, Nov 9: The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK), a specialised unit of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, carried out searches on Sunday at multiple locations across three districts in the valley in connection with the misuse of SIM cards by terror operatives, officials said.
Officials confirmed that searches were conducted in Kulgam, Kunzer (Baramulla), and Shopian as part of the ongoing investigation targeting anti-national elements exploiting telecommunications for unlawful activities. Several SIM cards have been seized during the operations, though no arrests have been made so far, the officials added.
The CIK continues to probe the matter as part of efforts to curb communication networks being misused for terror related activities in the region.
