India, Dec 30 : The highly anticipated Jana Nayagan audio launch starring Thalapathy Vijay became a historic event at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, drawing a record breaking crowd of over 75,000 fans. The spectacle officially entered the Malaysia Book of Records, marking the first time a Tamil film’s audio launch outside India has attracted such an unprecedented audience.
A carnival-like atmosphere greeted fans from across the globe as they celebrated Vijay’s “Swan Song,” an emotional moment marking the actor’s impending full-time entry into politics. The event’s energy was electric, turning the promotional launch into a grand festival. Officials from the Malaysia Book of Records presented Vijay with the official certification on stage, recognising the event’s global significance even before the film’s theatrical release.
Adding to the emotional resonance, Vijay’s mother, Shobha Chandrasekhar, surprised the audience with a live performance of the hit song “Kodambakkam Area” from Sivakasi, leaving fans visibly moved and adding a personal touch to the evening’s festivities.
Jana Nayagan, directed by H. Vinoth, is set for a worldwide release on January 9, 2026, coinciding with the Pongal holidays. The film features a star-studded cast including Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, and Mamitha Baiju, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
As fans chanted “TVK” in support of Vijay’s political journey, the audio launch has set the stage for what is expected to be a massive box-office success.
