Three TTP Militants Killed After Suicide Attacker Detonates in Balochistan: Pakistan Security Forces

Retaliatory action launched after bomber targets Frontier Corps HQ in Nokkundi, clearance ops underway amid escalating militant activity.

Pakistan, Dec 01 : Pakistani security forces shot dead at least three Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants after a suicide bomber blew himself up at the main gate of the Frontier Corps (FC) headquarters in Balochistan’s Nokkundi, Dawn reported on Sunday.

According to the FC Balochistan South spokesperson, the suicide attacker detonated himself at the entrance, enabling several heavily armed militants to storm the compound. Security personnel responded swiftly, killing three of the infiltrators, while a clearance operation continued at the site.

Authorities said that six attackers managed to enter the FC headquarters following the initial blast. Meanwhile, a checkpost in Panjgur district’s Gurmakan area also came under attack, indicating a coordinated attempt by the militants.

TTP—labelled ‘Fitna-al-Khawarij’ by the Pakistani state has intensified its activities across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan since the group ended its ceasefire with Islamabad in November 2022. On Saturday, seven blasts struck Quetta and Dera Murad Jamali, including one explosion that destroyed a section of railway track and halted train services.

The rising violence comes as rights group Paank released a disturbing October 2025 report alleging widespread enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings in Balochistan. The report documented 87 enforced disappearances mostly from Kech, Panjgur, Khuzdar and Dera Bugti and 20 extrajudicial killings, describing the pattern as “systematic state sponsored violence.”

Several released detainees detailed torture, including beatings, electrocution and prolonged solitary confinement, which Paank says point to a “structured torture system” in secret detention centres. Among the victims was Jahanzaib Baloch, abducted in September and later found dead in Lasbela with severe mutilations.
