Traffic Suspended On Sinthan-Kishtwar Road Due To Inclement Weather
Adverse Weather Conditions Prompt Suspension of Traffic on Sinthan-Kishtwar and Margan Roads
Jammu, October 14: In response to the prevailing unfavorable weather conditions, authorities have taken the prudent measure of suspending traffic movement on the Sinthan-Kishtwar and Margan Roads. The decision to suspend traffic flow was communicated through an order issued by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Kokernag.
The order cited the rapidly changing weather conditions, particularly the persistent snowfall at the Sinthan Top, as the compelling reasons behind this suspension. The directive unequivocally states that both the Sinthan-Kishtwar and Margan Roads are to remain closed for traffic movements until the weather conditions improve and the snow is adequately cleared.
This cautious action is not only in the interest of public safety but also ensures that travelers are shielded from potential hazards and discomfort that adverse weather can bring. Road closures in response to snowfall and unpredictable weather patterns are a routine precautionary measure, considering the challenging terrain and climate in the region.
As always, authorities will closely monitor the situation and assess when it is safe to reopen the roads for traffic. Until then, commuters and travelers are advised to exercise patience and stay updated with weather and road condition reports. Road safety remains a top priority, and the decision to suspend traffic is made with this commitment in mind.
