24-05-2023 : A devastating accident occurred in the Kishtwar region of Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the loss of seven lives and leaving one individual in critical condition as per media reports. The incident took place at the Dangduru Dam site, involving a cruiser vehicle belonging to the Pakal Dul Project, as reported by officials.

Deputy Commissioner of Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav, provided information about the incident, stating that seven people had tragically lost their lives, while one person sustained severe injuries. Immediate action was taken to transport the injured individual to the District Hospital in Kishtwar for medical treatment.

Dr. Yadav expressed his commitment to extend all possible assistance in accordance with the requirements of the situation. In light of the accident, Union Minister of State for Science and Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh, promptly reached out to DC Yadav to discuss the tragic road mishap.
