Tributes Paid to Dr B.R. Ambedkar in Ramgarh; Leaders Highlight Social Justice, Extend Baisakhi Greetings
Ramgarh, April 13: A tribute programme was organised in Ramgarh to mark the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna and chief architect of the Indian Constitution, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The event was presided over by senior Congress leader and former minister Yashpal Kundal, while former minister and senior Congress leader Mula Ram attended as the chief guest.
Paying rich tributes, the speakers described Dr. Ambedkar as a champion of social justice and equality, whose contributions continue to guide the nation. A large number of Congress workers, local residents and members of the Dalit community were present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Kundal said that Dr. Ambedkar played a historic role in securing voting rights for women, promoting the right to education and uplifting the downtrodden sections of society. He stressed the need to follow Ambedkar’s ideals to strengthen equality and social justice.
Mula Ram, in his address, said that Dr. Ambedkar dedicated his life to ensuring dignity and rights for the Dalit community. He added that the Constitution has guaranteed equal rights to all citizens, thereby strengthening the foundations of Indian democracy.
The speakers also referred to the “Hamari Riyasat, Hamara Haq” campaign launched by Tariq Hameed Karra, stating that it reflects the aspirations and rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, though it was not discussed in detail during the programme.
On the occasion, Distt Working President Babbal Gupta, former Sarpanch Tirth Ram Bhagat, Jagdish, Himmat Singh, Karnail Singh, Rakesh Singh, Pradeep Kumar, Bittu, Kuldeep Verma, Yashpal Khajuria, Mandeep Choudhary, Darshan Lal and others were also present.
The gathering also exchanged greetings on the festival of Baisakhi and extended wishes on the foundation day of the Khalsa Panth, conveying a message of communal harmony and brotherhood.
