Trump Questions Supplying Tomahawk Missiles to Ukraine, Cites Stock Limitations

US President cites limited stock and discusses concerns with Putin

US, Oct 17 :  President Donald Trump on Thursday expressed hesitation over providing Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, citing concerns about depleting the United States’ own stockpile. His comments came just a day before a scheduled meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House.

Trump told reporters that he had discussed the potential supply of Tomahawk missiles with Russian President Vladimir Putin during a recent call. He noted that Putin “didn’t like the idea,” highlighting the delicate balance the US is attempting in navigating support for Ukraine while managing its own defense capabilities.

The remarks underscore the challenges the Biden era administration faces regarding advanced weapon deliveries to Kyiv, especially amid escalating tensions with Moscow. Trump’s caution reflects both logistical and strategic considerations ahead of direct talks with Zelensky.
