Trump Signs Bill to Declassify Epstein Files After Congressional Approval

US President says DOJ has already handed over nearly 50,000 pages of documents to Congress

US , Nov 20: US President Donald Trump has signed a bill approving the release of files related to the federal investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender who died in custody in 2019.

Announcing the move on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “I have just signed the bill to release the Epstein Files! As everyone knows, I asked Speaker of the House Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune to pass this Bill in the House and Senate, respectively. Because of this request, the votes were almost unanimous in favour of passage.”

Trump also stated that the Department of Justice has “already turned over close to fifty thousand pages of documents to Congress,” signalling that more disclosures are expected as part of the legislative mandate.
