Trump Slams UN Over Illegal Immigration, Warns Nations Are “Being Ruined”

New York, Sept 24: US President Donald Trump on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on the United Nations, accusing the global body of supporting illegal immigration and undermining the borders of Western nations. Addressing the UN General Assembly, Trump claimed that countries like the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Germany are being “ruined” by uncontrolled migration.

“The best example is the number one political issue of our time—the crisis of uncontrolled migration. It is completely unchecked. Your countries are being ruined. The United Nations is investing in an assault on Western governments and their borders,” Trump said.

Citing UN figures for 2024, he said the organization allocated USD 372 million in cash assistance to support around 624,000 migrants traveling to the United States, providing food, shelter, transport, and even debit cards. Trump alleged that the UN is effectively “financing this unmitigated crime,” overwhelming social safety nets in host countries.

Trump also criticized Europe, saying, “Europe is in trouble; it has been raided by illegal aliens… Look at London, it is in terrible condition.” He warned against Sharia law taking hold in Western cities and urged nations to protect their borders and citizens.

Highlighting statistics, Trump claimed that a significant portion of inmates in European countries are foreign nationals: 50% in Germany, 54% in Greece, and 72% in Switzerland. He reiterated, “Your countries are going to hell,” blaming unchecked migration for social and security issues.

The former president lauded his administration’s border enforcement measures, claiming they successfully reduced illegal crossings into the United States.
