Two-day mega poetry event to be organized to celebrate 72nd Republic Day in Jammu
In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the J&K Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages in collaboration with Radio Mirchi to hold a two-day mega poetry event to celebrate 72nd Republic Day in Jammu on 27th and 28th of January.
Our correspondent reports that the country’s top Hindi and Urdu poets, Bollywood lyricists, and writers will be participating in the event. Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Munir ul- Islam said that the gala event will be organized at Zorawar Singh Auditorium of Jammu University and top dignitaries of J&K are expected to participate in this first-ever national event of its own kind.
He said that the Academy is also providing a platform to the youth of the Union Territory in these events and added that Radio Mirchi has organized a poetry competition and received 450 entries from youths of the Union Territory and after adjudging each entry, 10 young poets have been chosen by adjudicators from Urdu and Hindi to recite their poetry during the event and interact with senior poets.
Pertinently, distinguished poets who have given consent to be the part of the event include Wasim Barelvi, Manzar Bhobali, Nawaz Deobandhi, Kunwar Javed, Khushbu Sharma, Ana Dehlvi, Pritpal Singh Betab, Balraj Bakhshi, Dr. Liaqat Jafri, Dr. Shafaq Sopori, Dr. Nazir Azad, Ms. Rukhsana Jabeen. Similarly, Sunil Jogi, Jagdish Solanki, Sudip Bhola, Shashi Kant Yadav, Vishnu Saxena will take part in the Kavi Sammelan which will be held on the 28th of January.
