Pakistan, Nov 24 ; Two terrorists were killed after launching an attack on the federal police headquarters in Peshawar, Pakistan, the Samaa broadcaster reported on Monday.
According to initial reports, two suicide bombers attempted to force their way into the high-security federal police compound. Police personnel intercepted them at the main entrance. One attacker detonated himself at the first gate, while the second was shot dead by alert officers before he could enter further into the facility.
The blast and ensuing gunfire resulted in the deaths of three police officers, while two others sustained injuries, the channel said.
Security forces quickly cordoned off the area, and an investigation into the incident is underway. Authorities are assessing the level of coordination behind the attack and whether additional accomplices were involved.
