Two Tourists Die in Srinagar, Bodies Brought to Hospitals

Two tourists die in separate incidents in Srinagar; authorities investigate causes of death.

Srinagar, Jan 28 : Two male tourists were brought dead to hospitals in Srinagar on Wednesday, officials said.

In the first case, Taranjit Singh, 41, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, was brought to SMHS Hospital from a hotel near Dal Lake in an unconscious state and was declared dead on arrival.

In a separate incident, Rajesh Ramchandar Mahindrakar, a resident of Maharashtra, was referred from JVC Bemina to SKIMS Soura after reportedly losing consciousness at a hotel in Hyderpora. Doctors confirmed he was brought dead.

Authorities have initiated medico legal formalities in both cases to determine the exact cause of death. Police are conducting further investigations in accordance with protocol.
