This development introduces the residents and visitors of the valley to the convenience and reliability of Uber’s ride-hailing services.

The ride-hailing giant unveiled its flagship services, namely ‘UberGo’ and the outstation offering called ‘Intercity,’ catering to the diverse transportation needs within the region. Shiva Shailendran, the Head of Supply and Regional Operations, emphasized the transformative impact of the global ride-hailing app’s availability in Srinagar. He expressed that both tourists and locals can now effortlessly secure a trustworthy ride in and around the city with just a few taps on the user-friendly app.

Highlighting the broader socio-economic implications, Shailendran remarked that the introduction of Uber’s services in the region is poised to generate significant income opportunities for local drivers.
