UGC-NET Re-Exam Results Announced for English, Commerce and Sociology

NTA releases scorecards for candidates who appeared in the September re-examination following concerns over the original papers.

New Delhi, Sep 18: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Friday declared the results of the UGC-NET June 2026 re-examination for English, Commerce and Sociology. Candidates who appeared for the three papers can check and download their scorecards through the examination portal.

The re-examination was conducted after concerns were raised over errors in the question papers of the three subjects during the June session. The NTA subsequently announced fresh examinations for the affected papers.

The English examination was held on September 9 from 9 am to noon, while the Commerce paper was conducted on the same day from 3 pm to 6 pm. The Sociology paper took place on September 10 during the first shift.

The examinations were conducted at 454 centres across 272 cities. A total of 1,96,491 candidates registered for the three papers, with 1,20,355 candidates appearing for the re-examination.

The UGC-NET June 2026 examination was conducted across multiple subjects to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor positions and admission to PhD programmes.

Candidates who appeared in the re-examination can access their scorecards online using their examination credentials. The NTA has also published related examination updates and answer-key notices through its official platforms.
