Unauthorized Absence: 14 Govt Employees Suspended in J&K

08-05-2023 : Today, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kupwara, Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray, conducted a surprise inspection of several Government offices to verify the attendance of officials. The offices inspected included ACD Office, ACP Office, Executive Engineer REW, Tehsildar Office Kupwara, JKEDI, DE&CC, and Prosecution Office. During the inspection, the DC discovered that 14 officials were absent without authorization from their duties and immediately suspended them.

These officials consist of 11 from the Rural Development Department and 3 from the Tehsildar Office Kupwara. The DC also inquired about the departments’ work during the visit and emphasized to officers and employees to maintain punctuality in their duties. Additionally, the DC examined the Record Room of the Tehsil Office Kupwara and instructed the concerned individuals to dispose of old records as per the procedure, enabling proper space for the latest records’ maintenance.
