UP Government Launches Sweeping Action Against Rohingya and Bangladeshi Infiltrators
CM Yogi Adityanath directs municipal bodies to identify, verify, and detain suspected infiltrators across the state.
UP, Dec 03 : The Uttar Pradesh government has launched a large-scale operation targeting Rohingya and Bangladeshi infiltrators in the state. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued immediate instructions to all 17 municipal bodies to compile comprehensive lists of suspected illegal nationals. These lists are to be submitted to the respective commissioners and IGs for further action.
As part of the crackdown, the CM has directed the establishment of detention centres in each administrative division, with authorities tasked to select sites and complete the necessary formalities swiftly. Administrative staff across municipalities have begun verification, investigation, and documentation processes at the local level.
The state government emphasized that the initiative aims to strengthen law and order while curbing illegal infiltration in Uttar Pradesh.
