UP Tourism Showcases Culture, Nature, and Taj Mahal at IFTM Top Resa 2025

State highlights Taj Mahal, Kannauj fragrance legacy, and cultural experiences to attract global travelers

Paris, Sep 26: Uttar Pradesh Tourism concluded its participation at the International & French Travel Market (IFTM) Top Resa 2025 in Paris, showcasing the state’s spiritual circuits, heritage, and ecotourism offerings. The state’s pavilion attracted significant attention from international dignitaries, travel trade leaders, and tourism professionals.

The exhibition highlighted spiritual destinations such as Ayodhya, Mathura-Vrindavan, Prayagraj, Varanasi, and the Buddhist Circuit, alongside heritage attractions including the Taj Mahal, Lucknow’s Nawabi legacy, and Bundelkhand forts.

A major highlight was Perfume Tourism from Kannauj, where live demonstrations of the centuries-old ‘deg-bhapka’ technique of natural fragrance-making captivated visitors. Uttar Pradesh positioned Kannauj as India’s perfume capital, offering a unique experiential tourism product for global travelers.

The pavilion also featured cultural performances such as Kathak, Kajri, and Dedhiya, engaging large audiences. Parallel B2B meetings with international tour operators and hoteliers opened opportunities for collaborations in pilgrimage, heritage, ecotourism, and luxury travel.

UP Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said, “Uttar Pradesh is a confluence of culture, spirituality, and heritage. At IFTM Top Resa 2025, we showcased this splendour to strengthen tourism ties with Europe and welcome more travelers.”

Officials noted key takeaways, including renewed global interest in heritage icons, Perfume Tourism, and the Buddhist Circuit, as well as positive responses from international travel stakeholders. The state also promoted year-round festivals such as Dev Deepawali, Taj Mahotsav, and the upcoming Ayodhya Deepotsav, highlighting seamless connectivity through Delhi, Lucknow, Varanasi, and Kushinagar airports.
