New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has set guidelines that are to be followed by the candidates appearing for the highly competitive Civil Service exams to be held on October 4 across the country. The central service recruiting body has also set rules for precautionary measures to arrest the spread of the virus; this has been made mandatory by the rapid surge in the number of coronavirus cases across the country.
As per the UPSC’s guidelines, all the candidates who appear for the masks must be donning masks. The recruiting body while laying out the guidelines has said that candidates without masks or face covers will not be allowed entry into the exam venue. The UPSC has also asked candidates bring their own sanitizers to the exam centre in transparent bottles to disinfect their hands at regular intervals. “Besides above, candidates have to follow COVID 19 norms of ‘social distancing’ as well as ‘personal hygiene’ inside the examination halls/ rooms as well as in the premises of the venue,” the UPSC further added in its guidelines.
