US Military Strikes Multiple Targets in Iran for Second Day of Renewed Hostilities
US Central Command says operation targeted surveillance, communication and air defence systems amid rising regional tensions
DUBAI, June 11: The US military has confirmed it has concluded a fresh round of airstrikes on Iranian territory, following warnings from President Donald Trump that Tehran would face consequences over stalled diplomatic negotiations. The latest escalation raises concerns that ongoing efforts to end the conflict could be further disrupted.
According to the US Central Command, the strikes focused on Iranian military infrastructure, including surveillance assets, communication networks, and air defence installations across multiple locations. The statement did not provide details on the extent of damage caused. It added that the operation involved coordinated action by the US Air Force, Marine Corps, and Navy.
Describing the action as a response to continued Iranian hostility, Central Command said US forces remain “vigilant, lethal, and ready.”
In reaction, Iran has issued warnings of retaliation, while security alerts were triggered early Thursday in Bahrain, home to US military personnel, after missile sirens were activated.
