Valley-based parties’ efforts to collaborate for saving their sinking ship to yield no result: Kavinder Gupta

JAMMU, DEC 21: Kavinder Gupta, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir has asserted that the Valley based political parties sensing their bleak future in the coming time especially in the upcoming elections are making dying efforts to collaborate in order to save their sinking ship.
In a statement issued to media here today the senior BJP leader said that the Valley based political parties including the National Conference and the People’s Democratic Party whose leaders had been befooling the innocent people of Kashmir umpteen times have already conceived their defeat in the coming elections. He said that this is amply clear from the statements issued by the leaders of these parties that smack of utter frustration. He said that feeling quite desperate after losing the political space in Kashmir due to the misgovernance and misdeeds committed during their governance, the parties are now making desperate attempts to unite prior to the elections but it will all go in vain. He said that while being in power these party leaders resorted to loot and plunder of the natural resources besides misusing huge funds provided by the Centre for the people of this region. He said that instead they filled their own coffers leaving the common people high and dry.
Responding to PDP leader’s  statement seeking pre-poll arrangement with National Conference, Kavinder said  it is more than an indication that PDP is on its death bed now and what an irony that it is trying to take the help of National Conference which itself is on the ventilator. He said that people fully see through the game plan of these parties to capture power to safeguard their vested interests and leaving the people to fend for themselves as these rulers did during about seven decades of their governance in the erstwhile State of J&K. He asserted that come what may these parties are undoubtedly going to face an unprecedented in the forthcoming Parliamentary elections as well as the J&K Assembly elections whenever these are held.
