Responding to Public Demand: Vande Bharat Express Set to Make Crucial Stops at Udhampur and Kathua Starting December 30

Jammu, 24-12-2023 : Starting December 30, passengers traveling on the Katra-Delhi route aboard the Vande Bharat Express can look forward to additional halts at Udhampur and Kathua Railway Stations. This development comes as a welcome relief to travelers, addressing a consistent demand for stoppages in these locations.

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, who also serves as the Member of Parliament from the Kathua-Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha constituency, expressed his satisfaction on social media. He conveyed the positive news, stating, “Heartening news for #Udhampur and #Kathua. Ever since the first #VandeBharat train started operating from #Katra and Delhi in 2019, there has been a consistent demand for its stoppage in Kathua and Udhampur as well.”

Dr. Singh extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for promptly addressing the request. In his post, he thanked the Prime Minister and announced, “Thanks, PM @NarendraModi for responding to our request. The new Vande Bharat from Katra to Delhi starting December 30 will have a stop in Udhampur and Kathua also. This will not only come as a huge relief but also provide ease of travel, ease of business, and overall ease of living.”

This decision is expected to significantly enhance the convenience and accessibility of travel for the passengers on the Vande Bharat Express, fostering ease in both personal and business endeavors.
