15-12-2021: Emphasising the pro-poor measures taken by the Modi government, Jammu District President Vinay Kumar Gupta on Wednesday said crores of people had become “lakhpatis” by the virtue of becoming owners of houses constructed under welfare schemes even as he attacked the previous regimes of disobeying the civic infrastructure in J&K.
While addressing the meeting Vinay Gupta underscored the accomplishments by BJP in the Jammu District and lambasted Congress. During the interaction with the party workers, Vinay said areas like building quality houses for the poor were a low priority for the earlier regimes but the situation changed after the BJP came to power in the Centre. “There was a time when it took years to construct dwellings for the poor and even then the quality of such houses remained questionable he added.
Attacking political rivals, Vinay highlighted that the Union Government after 2014 had sanctioned 1.13 crore houses for the poor and of these 50 lakh had even been delivered. Out of this 13 lakh, the previous UPA Government managed to build only 8 lakh houses. “Is there a comparison, One crore thirteen lakh and only 8 lakh?” he asked. Vinay claimed there was no clear policy earlier regarding housing for the poor and it was “Modi Sarkaar” that decided that there will be no house built in an area less than 22 square meters.
Vinay said that the BJP has ensured the implementation of every scheme started by the Narendra Modi led NDA Government at the very ground level. He said that BJP has worked to see that every single scheme reaches the targeted population.
He also prompted the BJP workers of the Jammu District in particular to maximum their in serving the people of Jammu and ensure that the public again gives a decisive mandate in favour of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He said that the opposition has turned issueless and hence playing with the public sentiments, but today’s public is well aware of ground facts. “Vinay said some leaders of Congress and other political parties are befooling the public but they will be shown their place in upcoming Assembly elections after the delimitation process”.
While lambasting the earlier rulers of the erstwhile State and opposition rule at Centre, he said, only members of one family were aware of the funds being provided by the Union Government, but now there is total transparency and every citizen has the information about what is being sanctioned for the development of all domain of society. He said that the Narendra Modi Government has given specific stress on the development of the Union territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
Vinay said that we should have faith in the Government of India which is committed to the development of the country.
Vinay Gupta further has been telling the cadres to highlight how Union territory of J&K has been the biggest beneficiary of the various initiatives of the centre and how Jammu District has also launched a campaign to cover all eligible poor, still not enlisted in the various social security schemes. For instance, under Ayushman Bharat, Gupta said more than 50 crore people across the country had got annual ₹5 lakh medical insurance cover and 2.54 crore benefitted from it he added.
Vinay Gupta said while tying a praiseworthy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi government in few years in crores of families had become house owners and as a result “lakhpatis”
“This is no small achievement,” said the Jammu District President.
Vinay Gupta asserted that every worker of the Jammu District should come forward and strengthen the party at the grass-root level. He said all the workers should dedicate at least two hours on daily basis for the service of people and spread the awareness of the social-economic schemes and other schemes of the Centre Government to the general masses.
Vice Presidents District Jammu Karan Singh, Ramesh Gupta, Karuna Chhetri, District Secretaries Narinder Koki, Sangeeta Anand and other party workers were present on the occasion.
