Vinay says e-Shram scheme assures free insurance cover, social security benefits

17-04-2022 : Giving momentum to the program Samajjik Nyay Pakhwada (Fortnight social justice) campaign, Bharatiya Janata Party Jammu District organized an e Shram card program in Satwari Mandal plummets under Jammu District. The program was organized by Bharat Bushan Mandal President and Vice-Chairman of Cantonment Board Jammu Cantt.
BJP District President Jammu Vinay Kumar Gupta said, “A program called the Social Justice Paksha Pakhwada will be commemorated from April 7 to 20. During this fortnight, we will have different programs for 15 days.” Vinay noted for one day, we will be undertaking the “E-Shram Card” program and also distribute it among the labourers and workers in organised sectors like construction labourers, migrant workforce, street vendors, domestic workers and agricultural workers. He asked BJP cadre that during the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, everyone should devote 15 days to service in their area,” Gupta explained.
Taking forward the Samajik Nyay Pakhwada campaign and the legacy of BJP’s remarkable leader, Vinay Gupta along with Convenor Trade & Industry Cell Sham Langar, BJP Councillors Baldev Singh Billowaria, Pawan Singh and Bharat Bhushan Mandal President and Chairman Cantonment Board Jammu distributed e -Shram cards. After distributing the e-Shram cards, Vinay Gupta educated labour cards will prove bountiful to the crores of labourers presently rendering service in unorganized sectors in the country.
Dealing with a gathering after distributing the e-Shram cards he proclaimed that the Jammu district will touch “new heights of achievement” with proper implementation of this scheme as this has so much to offer to the unorganized sector workers.
Nonetheless, Vinay said that over nine crore workers and labourers across the country have registered their names on the e Shram Portal. “The e-Shram Portal, launched in August, stores a comprehensive database of the country’s unorganised workforce. Those registered will be eligible for Rs 2 lakh coverage for accidental death and permanent disability and Rs 1 lakh for partial disability”, he said while addressing the gathering and asked the beneficiaries to spread the message across the union territory of J&K so that no unorganized sector worker is left behind as the Modi Sarkaar wants that every single worker should avail the benefit of e-Shram and allied schemes.
Gupta said, in future, all the social security benefits of unorganized workers will be delivered through this portal and in emergency and national pandemic like situations, this database may be utilized to provide necessary assistance to the eligible unorganized workers”, he expanded that PM, Narendra Modi has come up with umpteen public welfare schemes for the impoverished and underprivileged but the purpose of these schemes can only be served when every single soul will get enrolled and avail benefits of the same. He maintained that the Modi government wants that not a single unorganized worker will remain untouched by Government schemes and facilities as the main aim of the Government is to provide succour to the workforce in the country with no prejudice or partiality coming in the way.
Rajesh Gupta, Narinder Koki, Jyoti Sharma, Naveen Gupta, Monu Salathia, Sangeeta Sharma, Sr Gurdayal Singh and others were present on the occasion.
